Counsels with students and parents at West High School in Salt Lake City to develop an individualized intake summary and education plan. Offers customized services and develops and implements activities and programs to assist students in successfully graduating from high school and preparing for and attending college. Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in Counseling & Guidance, Educational Psychology, Social Work, or related Social Science field and two years of full time professional employment related to the Summary of Duties.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social science, or a related field and two years experience related to the Summary of Duties with at least one of those years counseling at-risk students.
Knowledge of low-income, minority, and at-risk high school and college student populations.
Knowledge of high school, two-year college program, and traditional four-year college graduation requirements.
