The Department of Psychology seeks applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position in Clinical Counseling Psychology to begin Fall 2015.
Teach 4 courses (12 hours) per semester. The teaching load will consist of such undergraduate courses as clinical/counseling psychology, abnormal psychology, theories of personality, forensic psychology, introductory psychology, statistics and research methodology courses, and other courses as needed. Other responsibilities include engaging in scholarly activities related to psychology; advising students; performing departmental, university, and professional service; participating in course and program development; performing other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
Doctorate in Psychology completed no later than June 1, 2015
Doctorate in Psychology. Teaching experience in undergraduate psychology courses such as clinical/counseling psychology, abnormal psychology, theories of personality, forensic psychology, introductory psychology, statistics and research methodology courses. Recent published research in refereed psychology-related journals. Ability to involve students in research. Associated clinical/counseling experience. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with, and be sensitive, to the educational needs of a diverse urban student population.
