The Saint Louis University College for Public Health & Social Justice is the only accredited school of public health in a Jesuit, Catholic university in the U.S., and is committed to social justice, excellence in education, community engagement, and research that leads to improved health.
The successful applicant will have a doctoral degree in biostatistics, applied statistics, or related field, with a background or interest in interdisciplinary research, evidence of high quality research, potential of securing external research funding, and outstanding teaching and mentoring skills. Primary responsibilities include conducting independent and collaborative research in biostatistics and public health, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and providing professional and community service. The Saint Louis University College for Public Health & Social Justice is nationally recognized for its community-based research and its commitment to excellence in teaching and social justice. Successful candidates will find opportunities for collaboration in a productive college portfolio, including health policy, community-based prevention, global health, chronic diseases, mental health, and maternal and child health. Secondary appointments with the School of Medicine and other appropriate colleges may also be available for eligible candidates. A preferred start date is August 15, 2015.
