Detailed Job Description

Produces, directs and manages video content through all stages of production, including concept, script writing, directing,lighting, recording, editing, authoring and delivery. Will administer all live multi-camera events, including but not limited to, sports, award shows, music concerts, dance concerts, theatrical productions, original series and lectures. Additionally this position will be responsible, on occasion, to produce film style videos. Supervises part-time, student employees, and students. Serves as a project manager for various video productions, coordinating with campus clients and studio personnel. Works within and is accountable for budgets ranging from $500 – $100,000.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree plus three to five years of related experience, including two years of supervisory experience OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling at least seven years.

Knowledge

Knowledge of and ability to direct and technically direct live multi-camera sporting events.
Knowledge and understanding of the artistic elements of camera composition, angles, graphics and their relation to music and sound.
Knowledge of video production techniques and experience producing live multi-camera video events.
Knowledge and understanding of audio and video signals and connections.
Knowledge of current Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of television video cameras and digital photography.

Skills

Skill in interpersonal communication.
Skill in project management.

Abilities

Ability to learn and master software specific to Studios workflow.
Ability to work with off-campus entities, SIDs, broadcasters, Satellite uplink, and master control centers.
Ability to direct and technical direct a live multi-camera event.

Ability to creatively approach each project to make it as unique and engaging as it can be within its scope.

Pay Range

$41,804 to $55,739 annually
