WITC is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Admissions Advisor at WITC Ashland Campus. The Admissions Advisor is responsible for providing information for all WITC programs and courses. This position creates ongoing relationships with potential students and assists them in their choice of post-secondary education and career training. This position is responsible for assisting in recruitment of students from all market segments and may require travel.
*Provide detailed, technical information regarding all programs offered college wide, via telephone, email, or in person. This includes knowledge and communication of complex admissions procedures, campus tours, shadowing coordination, and additional student support services as needed.
*Interview prospective students and recommend programs, events, and support services that WITC has to offer which meet the prospective student’s career and education goals and sustains communication with the prospective student until the student has reached a final college decision.
*Coordinate and conduct campus tours. Recruit and provide tour training to staff and students.
*Assist with recruitment services for traditional and non-traditional students.
*Serve as a back-up resource to the Career Specialist to deliver presentations for targeted audiences in the community at high schools, agencies, businesses, and on the reservations.
*Monitor and suggest revisions to automated letters to potential students including communication flow.
*Contact students in applicant status that have not completed their admissions process to offer services and encouragement.
*Contact potential students who have inquired about programs and have not responded to follow up communications.
*Communicate with admitted and waiting list students prior to enrollment
*Research, summarize, analyze information and prepare reports related to recruitment, inquiries, applicants, admissions, and enrollments.
*Contact and track students who are registered for our courses but do not attend.
*Assist with the coordination of new student orientation and follow up with students who do not attend.
*Serve as a member of the campus Student Services Team and campus Enrollment Team to provide input in developing creative and innovative recruitment and retention goals, strategies and activities.
*Work closely with Office of Marketing & Recruitment staff on suggestions for marketing and advertising.
*Represent WITC in the community and at community events as needed
*Assist in the development and suggestions for editing of admissions/recruitment pages on the WITC website.
*Actively participate on campus, and college-wide committees.
*Assist with registration and registration follow-up.
*Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
1. Two years related post-secondary education plus two years related work experience OR a combination of related work experience and education totaling four years.
2. Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
3. Outstanding personal presentation skills.
4. Demonstrated organizational skills, dependability, and ability to work independently.
5. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of a personal computer, computer applications, and software.
6. Ability to learn and apply complex policies and procedures.
$15.28 – $16.46 hourly
