The faculty member will be the key faculty involved in biostatical analyses in the
Data Management and Biostatistics Core of the University of Florida Sepsis in
Critical Illness Research Center (SCIRC). Additionally the position will have a
secondary role serving as the liaison between the Department of
Anesthesiology’s research in perioperative outcomes in critical illness and
Director of the Data Management and Biostatistics Core in the Department of
Biostatistics, College of Medicine. The faculty member’s primary role will be
determining appropriate and conducting biostatistical analyses on large data
sets, in collaboration with key faculty members of SCIRS. The individual will
interact with and oversee the activities of the Program's Data Manager.
Additionally, the faculty will actively participate in planning and designing
future clinical and translational studies performed through SCIRS and will work
on developing link between perioperative outcome research in Departments of
Anesthesiology, Surgery and SCIRS. This will include providing services in
study design, data collection, data analysis, project administration, and
