The Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College invites applications for a one-year faculty position in Piano to begin July 1, 2012. Candidates should have a record of excellence as performers, and be committed to teaching, with the clearly demonstrated ability to teach piano to both performance majors and students in secondary piano. The teaching load will include applied private lessons and piano sight-reading; it may also include assignments in other areas, including general education music courses, depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates should have a minimum of an M.M. in Piano Performance or Piano Performance and Pedagogy; preference will be given to those with an earned doctorate, or progress towards the same. Other desired qualifications include a commitment to the liberal arts; demonstrated discipleship and spiritual maturity; strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a highly collegial fashion.
