Develops various business relationships with local and state businesses to assist engaged learning. Teaches courses related to business strategy development and implementation. Assists the Department Chair and faculty develop strategic business programming according to AACSB standards. Serves on various department and university committees as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Master’s degree in a field of study directly related to the summary of duties plus ten years of relevant professional experience OR a combination of relevant education and experience totaling sixteen years.
Prefer a graduate degree in business administration plus 10+ years of experience in corporate-level managerial positions and experience leading multiple-person, team-based consulting projects. Prefer some experience as responsible instructor in classroom settings.
This position is intended to be a full-time, program-building position with time and energy commitments equal to those expected from a tenure-track assistant professor.
Knowledge of the theories and principles of strategic management and consulting processes with firms in competitive environments.
Knowledge of the financial, marketing, and production principles used in creating value for customers.
Knowledge of the principles of client management.
Skill in locating and persuading business firms in need of strategy consulting projects.
Skill in interviewing and selecting students for participation in consulting classes and teams, teaching classes and explaining to groups and individuals how to interpret client needs.
Ability to research and develop responses to client needs and produce deliverables that are suited to client abilities to implement.
Ability to lead class discussions debriefing cases, explaining principles, and reviewing client management issues.
