Detailed Job Description
Tenure track position to begin in Fall 2015.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics and actuarial science; provide academic advising; conduct methodological and collaborative research leading to publication; coordinate academic programming in actuarial science; supervise student research; serve on graduate examination committees; provide service to the institution.
Doctorate in actuarial science, statistics, or closely related field by date of appointment; expertise in actuarial science and financial risk modeling; completion of multiple exams for actuarial society accreditation by date of application. Appointment at the rank of associate professor requires, in addition, at least six years of professional experience after receiving the doctorate and an established record in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service.
Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries or the Casualty Actuarial Society; experience teaching face-to-face courses.
