RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering Technology (ECTET) department is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time, tenure- track position in our Computer Engineering Technology program. Responsibilities include lecture and laboratory development and delivery; development of a rigorous personal research program including external funding that relates to the department’s focused scholarship agenda; advising MS graduate-student projects and theses; continuous improvement of professional and technical capabilities, and service on department, college, and institute committees. We are seeking an individual with research and industrial experience in the area of embedded systems including digital systems design and verification using a hardware description language and embedded programming in C or C++. Demonstrated experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), wireless, or audio applications is desirable. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to contribute to one or more department areas of distinction including audio, embedded systems, power & energy, and telecommunications.

Required Minimum Qualifications
• PhD in engineering, science, or related field or ABD with completion date prior to August 13, 2015
• Three years relevant industrial experience in the embedded systems field
• Current technical expertise in digital systems design and verification in a hardware description language
• Current technical expertise in embedded programming using C or C++
• Demonstrated potential for high quality teaching
• Demonstrated potential for high quality research and scholarship activities in an area that relates to the focused scholarship agenda of the department
• Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college’s continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
