Detailed Job Description
Develop, direct and teach courses in the online Family Studies undergraduate program.
Develop, direct and teach courses in the online Family Studies undergraduate program. Initially this will involve guiding the transformation of existing online courses to uniform formats that can be taught consistently across faculty as well as facilitating the conversion of existing face-to-face courses to the same uniform format. The person in this position will be responsible for teaching a full-load of online Family Studies courses each semester proportional to administrative duties; directing the online Family Studies Program; and serving as the Department's liaison to the E-Learning office. Responsibilities also include attending workshops on e-learning, sharing updates and information on a variety of e-learning and LMS topics with FSW faculty, assisting FSW faculty with developing, maintaining, and upgrading online and hybrid classes; and other duties as directed by Department Chair.
Masters with earned degree in Family Studies, Human Development, or a related field; experience working with multicultural and/or diverse populations; previous experience in developing, implementing, and teaching online courses.
PhD in Family Studies, Human Development; experience with innovative teaching technologies, including development of online or hybrid courses; international experience.
