Responsibilities: Candidate will be expected to work with and interact with colleagues and specifically in the development and teaching of hotel management and operations to include property management, hospitality strategic management, revenue and yield management, managerial accounting for hospitality, budgeting and forecasting. Candidate will teach 12 credit hours per semester (fall and spring) and pursue scholarly activities and applied research with students in and throughout MSU Denver’s Hotel and Hospitality Learning Center. Summer classes are optional with additional compensation. Candidate will combine classroom learning with experiential learning. Candidate will effectively integrate technology (internet, social media, and teaching online) into course work, applied research, and advising. Candidate will advise at the undergraduate level, actively serve as faculty advisor to a student organization, provide service to the university and community, and fulfill other assigned duties as requested by the department Chair.

Required Qualifications: Masters’ degree plus 6 years of relevant professional or industry work experience in the hospitality industry. Preferred Qualifications:Doctoral degree or ABD at the time of appointment. One degree in Hospitality Management or related field. Teaching experience and active membership in local, regional, and national professional hotel and lodging organization.
