FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION/EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES: Division of Health Professions, Lawrence Campus (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated Start Date: January 2015 (Based on funding availability).
Teach classroom and laboratory courses in Emergency Medical Services (EMT-Basic and EMT-Paramedic). Participate in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and revision using defined program outcomes. Maintain office hours and advise students. Participate in College service activities.
Associate degree in Paramedic Technology and credentialed as an NREMT-P, I/C. Current certification to practice out-of-hospital care in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the EMT-P level and at least three years full time experience as an EMT-P. Current competency in clinical practice and the professional discipline is demonstrated through continuing education, professional development, or scholarly activity. Two years’ experience as an instructor in an Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) approved EMT-B and EMT-P program. Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to, a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment. Evidence of engaging instructional methods and techniques appropriate to different learning styles. Ability to integrate appropriate technology into teaching strategies. Demonstrated ability to work collegially as a team member.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a health related discipline. Community college teaching. Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and assessment in community college setting. Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
To be considered for this position we must receive the following:
SALARY: Anticipated starting salary range is $39,000.00 - $65,000.00 per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
