The University of Alabama invites applications for a renewable instructor position to begin in January 2015. This is a 9/12 month position, non-tenure earning, but is renewable annually depending on need, funding, and performance. Candidates will be expected to teach four three-credit seminar classes every semester for the University Honors Program plus other non-instructional responsibilities as determined by the Dean and Associate Dean of the Honors College.
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature with preference of at least two years teaching experience at the college level. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with or teaching gifted/honors students. Applicant must demonstrate proven expertise in their field and an eagerness to teach to our diverse student body.
