Job Responsibilities

• Ensures the program meets and maintains accreditation standards and all appropriate documentation is submitted
• Monitors enrollment and works with College wide curriculum development and with Associate Deans to create faculty and student development opportunities
• Facilitates implementation of College AQIP and strategic plan processes to provide a quality, effective program that focuses on student learning and the mission and goals of the College
• Recommends class assignments, builds and maintains relationships with career centers, high schools and other feeder programs, universities and industry to facilitate articulation, transfer and employment
• Assists in the recruitment and evaluation of adjunct faculty
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
• Demonstrated medical or allied health education, training and experience
• Demonstrated field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care
• Demonstrated experience with academic training and preparation related to emergency medical services at least equivalent to that of program graduates
• Possesses up-to-date certification in the United States to practice out-of-hospital care
• Possesses up-to-date certification by a nationally recognized certifying organization at an equal or higher level of professional training than that for which training is being offered
• Possesses up-to-date certification by the state of Ohio to be an EMS Instructor
• Demonstrated experience as an AHA, BLS and ALS provider and instructor
• Demonstrated experience supervising, planning, assigning, scheduling and ensuring the quality of the work of others
• Demonstrated experience Forecasting, Planning, Maintaining, Preparing and monitoring a business area’s budget
• Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department
• Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of methods of instructions, testing and evaluation of students
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of current national curricula, national accreditation, national registration and the requirements for state certification of licensure
• Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills
• Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to foster a team environment and work collaboratively
• Ability to research and analyze issues and develop solutions
• Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Works accurately with great attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree regionally accredited institution of higher education
• Demonstrated experience with program accreditation
• Possesses National Registry Paramedic certification
• Demonstrated experience as an AHA, PALS and ITLS provider and instructor

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of business 8:30am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.
