Detailed Job Description

Teach graduate (MS) and undergraduate MIS classes, committee service, and advising students. Supervise industry projects for students.

The Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science in the Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama invites applications for a non-tenure earning one-year renewable clinical instructor position in Management Information Systems starting January 1, 2015.

A Master’s degree in Management Information Systems or a related field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering is required along with 5 or more years of relevant industry experience in information technology and systems development or project management.

This position is a non-tenure earning position renewable for one-year periods at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any one-year contract period. Continuation of this appointment to its scheduled termination date is dependent upon meeting the departmental and college performance standards and compliance with all policies in the faculty handbook and general UA employment policies. Candidates selected for interview will be required to submit a disclosure and consent form authorizing a background investigation.
