Detailed Job Description

The Field Education Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and organization of the constituencies and will manage the day-to-day operations of the field office.

Additional Department Summary:

The Field Office coordinates 450 student internships in community organizations and engages students simultaneously in both classroom and practice learning during the academic year. Internship sites are located primarily in Alabama and boarder states; however internship opportunities are offered nationally and internationally. The Field Education Office Specialist reports directly to the Field Education Coordinator and is an integral part of the collaboration and planning of the Field Team. The Field Specialist must use a complex data base system to analyze information and provide reports to the Field Education Coordinator. With command of CSWE field standards and SSW policy, as well as an understanding of national issues in the field, the field specialist must initiate and develop processes that are efficient, accommodate growth and meet the needs of all constituencies. The field office operates year-round to meet the needs of all constituencies. The field office is a high-traffic environment that requires a field specialist that can simultaneously serve students, community and faculty.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and one year of experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to accommodate flexible hours to work with community agencies and address peak task periods. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 28537.56 Midpoint - $ 39956.76
