Frostburg State University, Department of Educational Professions, seeks applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Educational Research with primary responsibility to teach doctoral and master program research methods and provide research methods support for students. This full-time, tenure-track position will begin Spring 2015 or Fall 2015 and is focused at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown. Salary and rank commensurate with experience and includes University System of Maryland benefits package.
Responsibilities: Teach doctoral and master level courses in qualitative and quantitative research methods; serve the Ed.D. program as design and methodology specialist; advise doctoral students; and perform related administrative tasks. This position may be required to teach at the main campus in Frostburg, Maryland in addition to the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown. Ongoing professional development as well as Department, College, University, and community service will be expected.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Research Methodology or related field. Evidence of teaching experience at the graduate level.
Preferred Qualifications: Focus in qualitative research methods. Experience as a dissertation committee member or chair. Skilled in the use of instructional technology.
