Quinnipiac University invites applications for the position of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care to students with a wide range of chronic and acute illness. This position is 35 hours weekly between campuses, under supervision of the medical director and director. Office hours are generally Monday through Friday from noon to 7:00 p.m.

Direct clinical care to the student community
Collaborate with medical director, director, RN staff, counselors, and others in the care of student patients
Perform role in a nonjudgmental and nondiscriminatory manner in accordance with policies
Screening and brief intervention to address health risk reduction
Excellent clinical and communication skills
Order and interpret diagnostic testing, and make therapeutic decisions including prescribing and or administering medications within the scope of state regulations
Monitor student patient outcomes and initiate changes in treatment plan based on response
Coordinate student patient care including referrals and collaborating with other treatment providers
Experience with electronic medical record system
Working knowledge of HIPAA/FERPA
Participate in Student Health Services staff meetings and training programs
Contribute to a supportive, healthy and safe work environment
Licensed in the state of Connecticut as an APRN or PA with prescriptive privileges.
