Under the supervision of the Curriculum Material Manager, assists in ordering textbooks and course material for University Departments each semester. Researches, calculates and maintains prices and profit margins of all textbooks and course materials, and monitors annual historical sales reports. Must be able to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills to provide professional customer service to students, faculty and staff. Applies advanced computer and technical skills to manage the textbooks and course materials, and monitor annual and historical sales reports. Responsible for closing the Bookstore daily as Manager in charge.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree plus one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years.
Previous retail experience.
Knowledge of retail operations and methodology.
Knowledge of marketing and promotions.
Skill in administrative, communication and organizational skills.
Skill in computers.
Ability to communicate with faculty, staff, students, etc. with diverse understanding and needs.
Ability to be self-directed and proactive when accomplishing assignments.
