The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall daily administration of one or more programs. Serves as a liaison between program and other departments or community.

Additional Department Summary:

The LAUNCH Specialist is responsible for Help Me Grow West Alabama, including outreach to pediatricians and Reach Out and Read. The Specialist provides care coordination functions within the specialized Parenting Assistance Line unit, which assist consumers and providers to understand the services available through the early intervention system, early special education programs, special health care needs programs, and makes referrals to these programs as appropriate. The Specialist handles calls related to the health, development, behavior and learning of children, and supports families by providing information and education on these topics, researching and making referrals to services, and providing continued support, advocacy and follow-up as needed. She/he handles telephone cases, documents case information, mails information packets, and networks with staff and all community based providers. In partnership with AL AAP, the Specialists recruits and supports local pediatric practices in Help Me Grow and Reach Out and Read implementation.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and at least two (2) years of experience in a related area. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in early childhood/social work/education/psychology and experience in the areas of early childhood, health, mental health, human services, family support, community development, systems building is preferred. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 28537.56 Midpoint - $ 39956.76
