Detailed Job Description

Under general supervision, coordinates administrative, personnel, and logistical support for a defined department program. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May supervise support staff. Communicates with internal and external constituencies. Advises on and is responsible for adherence to program budget.

Additional Department Summary:

The Young Child Wellness Coordinator (YCWC) is responsible for all planning and program activities in Tuscaloosa related to Alabama Project LAUNCH. The Coordinator develops and manages the work of the local Young Child Wellness Council, including the environmental scan, strategic plan, and evaluation plan. Major responsibilities are the oversight and coordination of multiple program strategies across different agencies and programs. The Coordinator develops relationships and agreements with necessary local partners, supports local contracts and agreements, ensures program integrity and fidelity to the strategic plan, LAUNCH grant, and individual program's evidence base. The Coordinator supports the work of the LAUNCH Specialist in developing community resources, identifying gaps in services and other barriers to project implementation. The Coordinator works closely with and guides the work of the local Evaluator for Project LAUNCH

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least two years of relevant work experience. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in early childhood/social work/education/psychology and experience in the areas of early childhood, health, mental health, human services, family support, community development, systems building is preferred. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44
