Full time lecturer faculty position.


Instruction of undergraduate courses within the core curriculum of the Individualized major and minor. Advise undergraduate student research and provide professional service to the program and the University.

Basic Qualifications

M.A. or M.S. in discipline appropriate to area of teaching emphasis and documented teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in interdisciplinary or disciplinary subject that matches required teaching emphasis. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in quantitive approaches to the social sciences, interests in cultural studies, and experience in service learning.

This position offers opportunities for teaching through study away and study abroad experiences. The successful applicant will join an active program established in 2010 that consists 5 faculty members, affiliate faculty, 3 staff members, and more than 50 undergraduate majors. Faculty interest areas include environmental history, civil rights, performance art, ecology, biology education, and cultural studies. The program operates the Western Center in Peabody Hall that serves as a well-equipped study space for undergraduates and hosts diverse co-curricular extracurricular activities.
