WHEATON COLLEGE, Wheaton, IL.  The Department of Philosophy invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track), beginning August 2015.  We are looking for a strong teacher with evident research projects, interested in creating new courses and contributing to a vibrant philosophy major.  AOS:  18th and 19th century continental philosophy, including Kierkegaard.  Desired AOC could include:  20th-century continental philosophy, feminist philosophy, philosophy of art, social and political philosophy, and/or hermeneutics.  Successful candidates will need to demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching and a promising scholarly trajectory.

Prospective candidates should provide a cover letter, CV, brief writing sample, and the names and addresses of at least 3 references.  Promising candidates will be asked to fill out a full application.  Review of the candidates will begin November 1st.
