Detailed Job Description

This position acts as lead worker and performs skilled work in the operation, maintenance and repair of all types of refrigeration, cooling and heating equipment and refrigeration, cooling, ventilating and heating equipment within assigned area. Trains and supervises lower grade personnel. Will perform other general construction and renovation related duties depending on projects.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years commercial experience as a journeyman A/C Refrigeration Mechanic OR completion of an approved apprenticeship program in this trade and a minimum of 4 years experience as a journeyman A/C Refrigeration Mechanic to include commercial and industrial equipment OR possess a journeyman card in this trade and a minimum of 4 years experience as a journeyman A/C Refrigeration Mechanic to include commercial and industrial equipment OR Vocational/Technical/Trade school certification in this trade a minimum of 4 years experience as a journeyman AC Refrigeration Mechanic to include commercial and industrial equipment. Must have EPA approved Universal Refrigerant Certification. Must have the ability to interpret and work from specifications, plans and blueprints. DDC experience, the ability to fabricate sheet metal ductwork and/or a state contractor's license is preferred. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to perform those items in the Job Summary and in Essential functions. Must have the ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies. May be required to submit a medical history statement from personal physician. Must have a valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier. Final candidate must submit to and successfully pass a post offer drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

Practical Knowledge of Pressure and Non Pressure Plumbing, Welding, and Pipefitting.
