The Museum Registrar maintains electronic and paper records of museum objects including loans, accession records, condition reports, locations, catalog entries, etc. and oversees the handling, movement, packing and shipping of objects using best museum practices.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Art History or a related field OR a combination of relevant education and work experience totaling four years.
Experience working with art objects
Knowledge of museum registration methods and collections management.
Knowledge of museum best practices.
Skill in organization.
Skill in interpersonal communication.
Skill in object handling.
Skill in project management.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
Ability to physically lift and move objects.
