Job Responsibilities

•Leads the identification, cultivation, and engagement of prospects and donors to build upon already established outreach, branding, and fundraising programs of the Foundation
•Provides leadership for donor relations and communications to ensure that such engagement represents the best interests of the Foundation, the College and its partners
•Develops initiatives for customized stewardship opportunities that are unique and exclusive for our prospects and donors to further the goals of the College and Foundation development program
•Provides education and support for friend and fundraising engagement of the College’s internal community to ensure College-wide support for obtaining gifts and promoting the mission of the Foundation
•Collaborates with Foundation Directors, Vice President of Development, and College leadership team to develop and implement a strategic development program including innovative, unique and personalized outreach communications and experiences
•Works with College departments and constituency groups to develop and implement outreach initiatives to keep the College in the forefront of key constituents, including corporations and business partners, foundation, organizations and individuals
•Develops and delivers College-wide programs to educate the community on funding opportunities and strategies for obtaining gifts
•Completes special projects and presentations for the College and Foundation as needed
•Establishes and implements initiatives that will educate, engage, inspire and thank donors and prospects for their time, interest, and generosity
•Continuously ensures positive impressions of the College and Foundation
•Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

•Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum of seven years of experience in positions that work with the community and engaging activities
•Experience with strategic approaches and engagement to bring attention to, and solicit, advocacy
•Experience with research, and preparation of projects and plans
•Demonstrated experience planning, assigning, scheduling, supervising and ensuring the quality of the work of others
•Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department
•Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

•Demonstrated passion for, and commitment to, the mission of Cuyahoga Community College and the Tri-C Foundation
•Ability to think strategically especially in relation to donor communication and engagement

•Possesses working knowledge of community engagement concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations
