The Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the University of Alabama is seeking dynamic applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor tenure track position in Restaurant, Hotel, and Meetings Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Preference will be given to a candidate with evidence of effective and innovative college-level teaching and development.
•Teaching, research and outreach activities to articulate with the mission of the university
•Produce a record of scholarly activity in Hospitality Management
•Recruit, mentor, and advise students
•Participate on thesis committees
•Develop and update online courses
•Obtain external funding to support a nationally competitive research program
•Serve on departmental, college and university committees
•Completed doctoral degree in Hospitality Management or closely related field
•Strong writing and publication skills
•Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students
•Established research agenda with publication record
•Record of teaching a broad variety of courses.
•Evidence of involvement with professional industry organizations or associations.
