The successful candidate will be expected to teach upper-level and graduate courses in the field of specialization as well as Latin American surveys. The candidate must have an active research agenda leading to publications and provide service to the University community and professional organizations.

The Department of History of the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Colonial Latin America. The successful candidate will be expected to teach upper-level and graduate courses in the field of specialization as well as Latin American surveys.
