Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellow in the Edward A. Doisy Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, beginning in the fall of 2014. A post-doctoral position is now available in the laboratory of Dr. Dorota Skowyra. This post-doctoral fellow will be involved in analysis of peptide mixtures generated by the proteasome from natural protein substrates co-purified from cells, and previous experience with fractionation and analysis of peptide mixtures and familiarity with mass spectrometry is preferred. Successful candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in life sciences. Previous experience with cell fractionation, and purification of proteins and protein complexes would be a plus.
