Detailed Job Description

The Program Developer for the Center on Aging (COA) is responsible for planning, developing and administering the day-to-day activities required for assigned open enrollment courses and providing program support. In addition, the Developer is responsible for scheduling and staffing assigned classes, ensuring curriculum quality, interviewing and hiring part time instructors.  

Required Qualifications

Associates degree in education, adult education or closely related field required.

Significant training or experience with technology management and communication tools including Microsoft Office and database programs.

A minimum of three years of experience coordinating classes, developing curriculum or coordinating educational programs required.

Demonstrated expertise in adult education.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel within Anne Arundel County to accommodate the needs of the program.  

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is preferred.
