Detailed Job Description

Provide support in the Staff Development unit within the Department of Human Resources.

Plan, develop, facilitate, coordinate, and communicate learning initiatives for staff development. Meet with departments to assess training needs and/or develop and deliver customized sessions based upon consultation. Provide assistance with the evaluation, development, and implementation of university-wide training needs, including e-learning.

Duties

-Create and facilitate workshops and knowledge assessments for HR Staff Development programs, and provide learners immediate feedback

-Create specialized training modules and learning assessments for on-campus constituents; assist with selection of subject matter experts when applicable

-Develop OD projects/programs and manage budgets appropriately

-Aid in sourcing external or non-employee facilitators for effectiveness via program evaluation

-Develop online learning modules using e-learning authoring tools

-Develop curriculums and/or provide individual learning support for all university employees

-Know where to retrieve appropriate resources for accessibility/ ADA compliance

-Assist all university employees in selecting appropriate coursework/development opportunities focused on professional development in order to meet the university goals

-Work with employees to create individual professional development plans and monitor progress

-Provide professional coaching services for university staff

-Assist in selecting coursework, setting curriculums, and approving awards for classified employee, within the university incentive program

-Assist departments with organizational structure and conduct various assessments (e.g., environmental, needs, etc.)

-Provide organizational development support university-wide

-Provide support to university Lean initiatives

-Work on HR/cross-functional initiatives or special projects as requested

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Development, Organizational Development/Behavior, or Organizational Leadership or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Solid understanding of adult learning concepts.

Effective facilitation and robust curriculum design.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.

Ability to adapt to changing needs of the university and learners.

E-learning experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in a related field.

CPLP, SPHR, or PHR designation.

Certified Executive/Professional Coach.

Pay Range

45,000   - 50,000
