Assists in the physical/operations needs of sports medicine facility under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer. Provides medical coverage for designated teams under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties OR a combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling six years.

Knowledge of indications and contraindications for application of medical modalities and treatment.
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology bio-mechanics, correctives adaptive and human kinesiology.
Knowledge of standard values for general health of body systems.
Knowledge of mechanism of injury with associated acute/chronic conditions.
Skill in taping, bandaging, splinting etc.
Skill in fitting and application of equipment and medical protective devices.
Skill in the application of electrical modalities and physical therapeutic techniques.
Ability to communicate effectively, to classify medical conditions utilizing signs/symptoms and monitors recovery and updates treatment protocols. Ability to perform emergency evaluations.
