Detailed Job Description

The videographer is responsible for the creation and editing of video content for courses enhanced with technology. Oversees all aspects of film and video pre-production, production and post-production for special events, marketing/ promotional materials, and educational and special program videos, including other projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in film, communications, or a related discipline and two years of experience directly related to video/film, broadcast field or a related area or an associate’s degree and four years of experience directly related to video/film, broadcast field or a related area.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and one-year experience in similar duties, or any combination of related education and experience totaling five years.

Knowledge

Knowledge of videography and photography, audio principles, practice and techniques.
Knowledge of design software and the Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Bridge and InDesign.
Knowledge of typography, color theory and layout.

Skills

Skill in creativity, imagination and originality in visual composition.
Skill in interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Skill in dedication to detail, organization and an eye for good design.

Abilities

Ability to create and follow a production schedule, effectively manage workload, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work and contribute as a team member in a collaborative work environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Pay Range

$31,554 to $42,072 annually
