Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a Non-Tenure Track Faculty Program Coordinator for the Project Management and Contract Management Programs in the School for Professional Studies. The School for Professional Studies (SPS) offers globally-accessible, academic and professional programs for working students in Saint Louis University's Jesuit tradition of excellence. Over the past five years, SPS has nearly doubled in size in terms of student numbers, degree programs and full-time staff and faculty. We offer multiple on-ground and online bachelor's and master's degree programs with plans to continue growing locally, nationally and internationally.
The Program Coordinator core responsibilities are administration, teaching, scholarship, service, and professional activities. He/she teaches courses in the Project Management and/or Contract Management programs. He/she also works closely with the Chair, Organizational Studies, to oversee the Project Management and Contract Management program curricula; to ensure that curricula is aligned with industry best practices and relevant professional certifications; to hire and develop program faculty; and to recruit, market, and develop the programs.
The successful candidate will have an earned master's degree, plus PMP certification or equivalent professional experience in project management. The candidate will have: demonstrated ability to teach Project Management and/or Contract Management courses to adult students in online and on-ground formats; demonstrated capacity for program administration; ability to develop and promote academic programs; and experience coaching, mentoring, and/or supervising colleagues. Additional professional certification through NCMA is a plus. Applicants from both industry and higher education settings are invited to apply. The position is an annually-renewable ten-month appointment with a regular but flexible work schedule, which may include evening or weekend teaching. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
