Provides expert grading of all student written work including the essay portion of exams, response papers and other essays. Participates in various meetings with the lead instructor to discuss improvements and successes.
Regularly meets with students and provides substantive feedback on written work. Ensures student grades are entered and records are maintained properly.
High school diploma or equivalent plus two years education at an accredited institution in a major or discipline related to the Summary of Duties or an associate’s degree in a discipline related to the Summary of Duties is required.
Passed Communication 1020 or equivalent course with B+ or better.
Bachelors degree in Communication or equivalent.
Knowledge of communications.
Knowledge of writing sufficient to provide expert grading and critical feedback.
Skill in use of personal computers and related software applications.
Skill in interpersonal problem solving and decision making.
Ability to explain principles of good writing.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to provide knowledgeable feedback of course material.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to interact in a professional manner with students through email, phone and in person.
