Job Description:

Perform administrative and clerical support work in the Office of the Vice President for AA & SS.

Monitor budget. Respond to inquiries by phone, email or in-person from faculty, staff, & students.

First point of contact for student issues involving the Vice President. Schedule meeting and appointments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years of full-time office experience and demonstrated strong keyboarding, word processing and database skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in composing documents such as memoranda, reports, correspondence, minutes and emails.
  • Thorough knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to interact in a confidential and effective manner with faculty, staff, trustees, students and the public.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently and at a high level of productivity with minimal supervision.
  • Strong proofreading and editing experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Significant experience in monitoring budgets and creating reports from on-line systems.
  • Higher Education experience.
  • Experience with Colleague or other integrated information systems in higher education highly desirable.
