Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, supports faculty, staff, and department operations by procuring, maintaining, delivering, fabricating, and assembling equipment, props, tools, facility needs, and supplies necessary for the Emergency Services programs.
Graduation with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a current Class A CDL License with a good driving record.
Graduation with a high school diploma or equivalency and three years of experience related to the summary of duties or any combination of education and experience totaling three years of experience related to the summary of duties.
Knowledge of commercial driving rules and regulations as well as state and federal regulations.
Knowledge of mechanical operations, standard repair procedures and techniques, and hydraulic systems.
Skill in maintenance and repair of large mobile equipment such as semi-trucks, loaders, and firefighting equipment.
Skill in interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making.
Skill in written and oral communication.
Ability to acquire and maintain certifications requiring various duties; forklift operations.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperature, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas verbally and, at times, in writing. Those activities in which they must be convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly and/or quickly.
Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking level with or without correction.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
