Detailed Job Description

This position manages the technical infrastructure of Banner as utilized by the Office of the Registrar, as well as other software employed by the department. This position is considered the user expert within the department and serves as the primary technical liaison between the Office of the Registrar and OIT, and is responsible for implementing new processes affecting Banner as used by the Office of the Registrar and the student end user, including testing system upgrades and defining new software needs. This position takes the lead on development and maintenance of BDMS processes, R25/S25, Degree Verify, and National Student Clearinghouse reporting functions.

Specific Duties

Working with the Assistant Registrar for Technology,this position will maintain tables and forms in Banner to enable registration and grading.
Maintain and troubleshoot CAPP, Catalog and Articualtion modules.
Ensure all grading process are accurately run and reports generated.
Manage R25/S25 classroom scheduling software. Develop and run reports to ensure the integrity of data.
Support the Verification Specialist for Clearinghouse processes.
Work with Assistant Registrar for Technology to develop and implement new technology processes. Write/maintain docuementation

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor Degree and two years directly related experience.

Special Instructions to Applicants

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of University policies and procedures as they are reflected in technology applications. Specific technical requirements include fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, and Banner INB, including the ability to build data queries and reports. The ideal candidate would also have the ability to continue learning new technologies, including the ability to implement new software applications. The ideal candidate must have extreme and consistent attention to detail, the ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines, and must have demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
