The Bertolon School of Business welcomes applications and nominations for the Gassett-Schiller '83 Endowed Chair in Accounting and Finance. The successful candidate will work with the Bertolon School of Business (BSB) leadership team to build our offerings in accounting and mentor faculty and students in their research efforts. Responsibilities include: maintaining a strong record of scholarship in applied and pedagogical research in accounting topics, playing a leadership role in the Bertolon School of Business, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, advising students and participating in service.
Salary, summer support and research support are competitive with endowed chair positions at comparable schools of business, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching responsibilities, advising, scholarship and contributions to the development of the department and university. The position is subject to available funding.
The successful candidate will have a strong reputation in accounting, an earned doctorate and a distinguished record of publication. Candidates at the associate or full professor level will be considered. We prefer candidates who value teaching, have a high energy level, a demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a participatory, collegial environment, and have an interest in mentoring junior faculty members.
