Job Description:

  • Prepares requests for proposals and ensures that proper bidding and service contract regulations are met
  • Assesses and recommends bids for the award of contracts
  • Acts as a principle liaison between the college and vendors
  • Monitors efficiency and effectiveness of contracted services
  • Ensures strong customer service philosophy with college vendors
  • Develops and implements a process and means for undertaking a college-wide inventory
  • Maintains the fixed assets and inventory records according to prescribed practices
  • Manages and disposes of the college’s surplus property according to state regulations
  • Assists in updating purchasing policies and procedures
  • Works with external auditors to assist in the preparation of required financial statements
  • Prepares monthly plant fund and other reports as required
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field
  • Five years’ experience in contract management and financial statement reporting
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with computer applications, on-line and web based purchasing systems
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth of Massachusetts Accounting and Reporting System is a plus
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00
