Quinnipiac University's Department of Engineering is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor level beginning August, 2012.
We are seeking outstanding teachers and scholars committed to professional growth. Professional registration and professional practice experience is desirable. Successful applicants will be prepared to teach courses in mechanical engineering areas outside their immediate expertise.
The Department of Engineering is new at Quinnipiac University and will start accepting freshmen in the fall of 2012 with the goal of becoming ABET accredited upon graduation of this first class. We are building a unique learning environment that balances theoretical and applied learning, supported by a variety of learning styles. In that setting, we also foster continuous professional growth of our faculty and staff appropriate to our Mission. Required Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. with expertise in one of the sub-disciplines of mechanical engineering. Candidates with experience in computer-aided design, fluid mechanics, kinematics and dynamics, machine design, and systems design are especially encouraged to apply. A strong interest in renewable/clean energy systems is also desirable.
