Responsible for providing ASL interpretation/ transliteration communication access services for individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent, and must hold current interpreter certification issued by either the State of Utah or the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. Preference will be given to those with National Interpreter Certification (RID NIC) and/or Utah Professional level. Preference will also be given to those who have completed an accredited Interpreter Training Program (ITP).

Preference will be given to those skilled in Signed Exact English and/or Cued Speech Transliteration.
Knowledge of the RID Code of Professional Conduct, policies and procedures in a post-secondary environment, interpreting post-secondary educational classes and federal and state disability and confidentiality laws (ADA, Section 504, FERPA, etc.).
Skill in American Sign Language interpreting and transliteration, time management, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional behavior at all times.
