Job Description:

Assists the Coordinator in developing and implementing assessment functions of the department that are responsive to national trends/best practices in student development, retention and persistence.  Assists in the collection and analysis of data as well as the development of initiatives to support BHCC’s student development learning outcomes.  Assists the Student Activities Office staff in the planning and implementation of over 400 programs and activities annually, involving over 30 multicultural, academic and special-interest student clubs and organizations. Works with students to design promotional materials including posters, flyers, and brochures. Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising Student Mentors; and training and supervising club leaders. Serves as advisor to the WBCC Student Radio Station and supports College's development of social networking.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related; with three (3) years’ experience and/or training involving student activity event planning/coordination, student organization advisement, leadership development training, and assessment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proven ability to work well with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • Some early evening, weekend and off-campus program support

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graphic design skills (InDesign, Photo Shop, Illustrator, etc.) on a Macintosh platform.
  • Large and small-scale event planning skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume office environment while providing exceptional service.
  • Experience in communications and in using social media.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $45,940.43 - 55,126.98 Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education & Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits.
