Under the direction of the Director of Distance Education (DE) Support Services and/or Distance Education faculty or staff, coordinates technical and logistical aspects of DE course delivery. Provides technical course support services for all university faculty and students through phone calls, chat requests, email and personal contact. Assists DE faculty with course updates and maintenance of HTML coded course materials in the learning management system including maintaining the pedagogical and technological quality of online courses designed to standards approved by university’s Instructional Design Committee. Monitors student progress and contacts students to ascertain problems. Tracks technical and academic issues related to DE courses until resolution satisfaction.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree (or college junior) in a closely related field and two years of directly related experience OR any combination of education and/or experience related to the area of assignment totaling four years.

Knowledge of HTML coding and editing.
Knowledge of online learning management systems.
Skill in customer service.

Ability to assess technical and logistical course related problems and to assist with solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group or individuals.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively for both short-term projects and daily responsibilities.
