Detailed Job Description
The Department of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a 9.5 month, non-tenure track clinical faculty position beginning August, 2012.
*Teach within the Athletic Training program
*Coordinate the necessary set up of equipment, ordering of supplies and organization of all clinical skills laboratories
*Work with the program director, academic coordinator, clinical coordinators and faculty to logically structure educational competencies across 6 semesters both within the instructional, clinical laboratories and university effective learning outcomes for students enrolled in the AT program
*Aid in developing the model process for tracking and reporting clinical competencies and for tracking and reporting university effective learning outcomes for student enrolled in the AT program
*Oversee the tracking and reporting of clinical competencies and proficiencies across all laboratories
*Work with students and instructors to ensure that clinical competencies and proficiencies are evaluated within the designated time-lines established by the individual laboratories and the program
*Aid in preparing any reports for the accreditation process that are associated with clinical competencies and proficiencies as well as those associated with university effective learning outcomes as they relate to the AT program
*Service on department, college and university committees
Required Minimum Qualifications
Position requires a master's degree, ATC, 6 years of clinical experience, previous experience as an ACI within an accredited education program, familiarity with the process of accreditation and the ability to work in a team collaborative environment. Classroom or laboratory teaching experience strongly preferred.
