Miami University's Middletown Campus seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor beginning Fall 2014 to teach courses in Black World Studies and other courses in areas of specialization. Preference will be given to applicants who can also teach in history (particularly world history) or media and communication (particularly mass media or intercultural communication). The successful candidate is also expected to advise students and engage in appropriate professional, institutional, or community service. Appointment is for one year.

Miami University Middletown (MUM) is an open-admissions, regional campus. It offers bachelor 's and associate degrees in the College of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences as well as beginning coursework for most four-year degrees at Miami University, including a major and minor in Black World Studies through the Oxford campus.

Basic Qualifications

PhD (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor), ABD (for appointment as Instructor).
