Detailed Job Description
Teach; advise students; maintain scholarly agenda; provide service to the university; develop an established program in strategic communication, located in an interdisciplinary, media-centered department and housed in a college of liberal arts.
PhD by date of appointment. Applicants from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds in the humanities or social sciences, including (but not limited to) public and environmental affairs, health and political communication, rhetoric, advertising, media and cultural studies, informatics, and law, ethics, and journalism. Successful candidate should have a clear scholarly agenda.
Applicants with Ph.D. in other disciplines (e.g. history, English, sociology) with substantial professional experience in public relations or a related field will be considered. Desire: Media production and/or professional experience.
