Detailed Job Description
This is a unique faculty position, which includes teaching courses specific to athletic training education within the CAATE accredited athletic training education program in the Department of Kinesiology and Health, and may include additional courses in Functional Anatomy, and Functional Anatomy Lab Coordinator. This position also includes serving as the Clinical Education Coordinator for the ATEP. This is a full-time academic post with no athletic department or team assignment; 75% teaching, with an approximate 8-9 credit per semester teaching and 25% administrative as clinical coordinator. This position is renewable depending on funding and performance.
The candidate must have earned a Master's degree (for appointment as Instructor) or doctorate (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor) in Athletic Training or related field. Candidates should have athletic training experience in the high school, college, clinic or related setting beyond that of a graduate assistant and have served as a preceptor. Must be BOC certified with eligibility for Ohio state license in Athletic Training, and be a member of the NATA. Experience working with multicultural and/or diverse populations.
Teaching experience in a CAATE approved ATEP; three years of clinical experience; previous experience as a CEC in a CAATE accredited program; international experience; use of technology in teaching.
