Detailed Job Description
The Department of Political Science at Miami University is searching for a new colleague in the area of American Political Economy for the 15/16 Academic Year. We seek a colleague with expertise at the nexus of politics and economics in one or more of these or related subjects: political-economic thought; the role of markets and public policy; the evolution of economic policy and institutions; theories of the public interest; public choice theory. Responsibilities include teaching, maintaining active research agenda and providing service to the University.
Require for appointment as Assistant Professor: PhD by date of appointment in political science, public policy, or a related field; ability to teach courses across the public administration curriculum at the undergraduate and MA level. For appointment as Associate Professor also require: active research agenda, record of success in publications, and teaching.
Desire: experience teaching public administration, experience with applied research.
